Dinner & Cornbread from Soul (@PacificSoul) http://twitpic.com/2ar4zy

Last night we took a drive down the mountain to pick up dinner at Soul.  They opened up there a few months ago, but we just never made it there for food for some reason.  That reason is probably because the driveway & parking lot is always so packed.  There is ample additional parking across the street so parking nearby isn't really an issue.

Kelli ordered the 3 Carolina Pulled Pork Adobo Sliders ($8) and a side of Sweet Potato Fries ($6).  I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Southern Vegetarian Chili ($12).  The food was delicious and plentiful!  The fried chicken was crisp and paired very well with the lightly spiced vegetable chili.  The plate also had some Ma'o Farms collard greens, buttermilk cilantro cole slaw and a piece of sweet corn cornbread!  I also ordered an extra 3 pieces of the Sweet Corn Cornbread ($8) to eat for breakfast this morning!  Yum!

These photos are of the dishes when prepared for take out.  The dinners that were served while we were waiting looked very nice on the dinner plates.

  3. @Kat yup. I knew I would be wanting more cornbread this morning! I wanted to try the dessert special Blueberry Cornbread, but it was only served Ala Mode and the ice cream would've melted on the way back home!

@Jalna what time? We were there around 815p. Were we hogging all the parking so you went to Gyotaku instead? ;) you gotta try it. I want to eat there next time so I can get the dessert!
